I write early readers, chapter books, and graphic novels. In addition, I write English Language Learner (ELL) and other curriculum, including picture books and video scripts, for the educational market. My stories have appeared in many children’s magazines, including Highlights and Highlights Hello. I serve as the International Regional Advisor Coordinator for the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). 

Originally from the west coast of Canada, I live in the Netherlands with my family and our snaggletooth cat.
